Band Bio - The Erase-Hers
The Erase-Hers formed in the Spring of 2006 and features members of The John Stamos Project, 48 in the Basement, and The Whoa-Babies, all of which were notable New York and Long Island bands. Their sound is reminiscent of classic Blondie, as well as newer bands lke The Epoxies. The band was also referred to as "...if Cyndi Lauper and Andrew W.K. had a love child..."

L to R: Matt C- guitar/vocals, Ren- bass/vocals,
Tanz- lead vocals, Steve- drums/vocals, Matt D- synth/vocals

Matt C (guitar/vocals) began writing songs for a female-fronted project after The John Stamos Project (JSP) was put on indefinite hiatus due to bassist/vocalist Johnny Stamos relocating out-of-state.
After cutting a few crappy demos on a 4 track (where he slowed down the speed to sing along and then sped it back up to sound feminine), Matt started assembling the band. Steve (aka Stevie Stamos), former drummer for JSP, was a no brainer. Matt then recruited long-time friend Matt D. to play the Synth/Keys. After posting in various sources inquiring for a bass player, Ren from the now defunct 48 In the Basement and The Starliners stepped up to the plate. Both the JSP and 48 had known each other, touring and playing shows together throughout the years. All that was left was to find the last piece of the puzzle- lead vocals.
After many months of no luck and frustration, the band began practicing without a singer. Finally, Matt C was contacted through a Craigslist post, and Tanz came down to practice. She fit in perfectly and The Erase-Hers were finally complete.
The Erase-Hers debut EP "Out Of My Mind" was released September 2007 by Not A Mongo Multimedia. The first single "Rewire" began playing on internet and college radio stations in March 2007.
